Obviously there has been some discussions about how to deal with Teams who run builds to force draws and thereby get to the next round. You can discuss possible rules changes or other feedback here.
While I'm very happy that Teamarena matches can still create so much emotions I have to say that any posts containing unconstructive comments or flames will be removed. Smile

This is an outstandingly good example for unconstructive feedback.
If you decide to make a post please try to think of possible solutions which could help to deal with said situations.

bring back the old rule "no primary-profession is allowed more than once on a team"

Well just roll, a monk, a rit, a necro/rit/monk and a mesmer/monk got the same outcome

Removed a few posts again. As I said I want constructive feedback only. Most people have calmed down now and flames are really unneccesary at this point.

Like Alcar pointed out the class restriction rule will not solve this issue.

could also just make the rule, if a draw happens the team with less monks/rits/healers (skills) win

    1) You have to choose ONE build for all TWO/THREE matches.
    2) Primary Professions have to stay the same, secondary don't, changing skills is allowed.

define them some more to avoid shovespike, dunno how

How would such a rule look like?
Define please, when is a character a "healer", when not? Hardly possible to make such a rule.

Like above, not really possible to have such a rule.
I can still run 4x Eles with blind, wards n healing skills. By that, i would actually even win the game instead of having a draw, cuz the opposing team will probably have a monk. ;p

Well, in other tournaments, teams are able to change their builds too in "best of 3".
To point 1: If your opponent runs hexway/shove/.. for example, and you dont have anything against it, you will just lose all 3 rounds, since you're not able to change anything.

To point 2: Again, cutting down the possibilities of builds you can run. But this might be a considerable solution, i'll think about it! Smile

I do not think, that it is becoming necessary to add some restricting rules.
Teamarena never was a PvP-mode with any restrictions like codex!

I personally think, that it will be more conducive to success, if the tournament system changes.

Instead of a tournament with single elimination, like it is now, choose a league system (round robin).
Every team plays one time against every other team. (it is generally regarded the most equitable system).
With 16 team, and 17mins per match (8+1+1mins match duration, 2 min to join and leave guildhall + 5min to set build and equip)the total tournament duration is ~4 hours and every team can play 15 matches.

Brunis idea would be a good solution, but I think it'd be very hard for the group coordinators to manage it. Remember you can have only 20 guests per guildhall. Teams at the end of the ladder also might be more tempted to forfeit their remaining matches.

Similar idea: leave the group phase as it is and put the 8 teams on #1 and #2 into a new group (/league). Still might be complicated to create a working schedule for that but maybe manageable.

I dont think i would be to hard to coordinate.

For the first 3 Matches you put 4 Teams per Guildhall, and change Guildhalls/teams after 3 Matches.
    For example:

    Guildhall 1:

    1# Match
    1 vs 2
    3 vs 4
    2# Match
    1 vs 4
    2 vs 3
    3# Match
    1 vs 3
    2 vs 4
    ---> change

You just have to make a good schedule.
If you just set times where Teams have to join and enter the battle, i dont think it will be a problem to coordinate.
    Example:
5:00 pm Team 1 joins and move to the opposite base and open the scrimage
5:02 pm Team 2 joins and accept the scrimage
5:03 pm Team 3 joins and move to the opposite base and open the scrimage
5:05 pm Team 3 joins and accept the scrimage.
5:25 pm Team 1 joins and move to the opposite base and open the scrimage
5:27 pm Team 4 joins and accept the scrimage
    etc...

After 3 Matches, the teams change the guildhall, so the coordinators just have to stick to schedule and guest players to the proper guildhalls.

Yea but what if a team gets late, one player is afk etc... I think it would work fine in theory but the risk that things become really chaotic is much higher compared to the old system. But nevertheless it's an idea to keep in mind.

Another suggestion: In K.O. Phase both teams have to play until one team has 2 wins. In addition to that, a rule that says sth like "if both teams havent got 2 wins yet after 3 matches a first kill wins match takes place, score chart comparison if no kill etc."

Hi my Name ist Boombox and I am loosing vs Shove Spike everytime cause:
    1. Almost every member of my team dont know how to kite against a shove war.
    2. My Ranger can´t use a skill named "leech signet" on a skill named "shove".
    3. My Ranger can´t take out two monks skills named "holy strike" & "stone soul strike" with "distracting shot and " savage shot" (3/4sec cast time and 110 dmg each)
    4. My Necro doesn´t know how to use a skill named "foul feast" on a deepwounded spike target.
    5. My Monk has the reaction of snail and doesn´t know witch skills to use on a spiked target.

But I blame shove spike for everything that went wrong in this tournament.
